I led a qualitative field study of the gendered nature of land rights in 20 sites in Rwanda. My responsibilities included managing a team of six researchers and interpreters, designing the research approach and qualitative tool, writing an extensive literature review, leading the field study and data collection, and analyzing the results. As part of this project, I was also responsible for building the capacity of Rwandan researchers to conduct rigorous qualitative research on gender and property rights in an agricultural setting. The final report, published by USAID, can be found here.
